The Parent Collective

A community built for parents.

You don't have to figure it all out alone. The Parent Collective brings together caregivers of children 2-12 who want practical, evidence-based tools and the support of a community that gets it.

What is the Parent Collective?

Modern parenting can be incredibly isolating. Living far from family, navigating social media comparisons, and keeping up with the demands of everyday life can leave caregivers feeling alone in the hardest moments. The Parent Collective was created to change that — bringing parents together around shared experiences, research-backed resources, and programs designed to support caregivers at every level of need.

Whether you're looking for practical tools, a community of fellow caregivers, personalized guidance for a specific concern, or a structured evidence-based parenting program, there is a place for you here.

Please note: The Parent Collective is an educational and community-based program. It does not constitute therapy and does not include diagnostic evaluation. If you are concerned your child may need clinical support, please visit the Clinical Services page.

How it Works

The Parent Collective offers flexible ways to get support — whether you're looking for an ongoing community, a focused group experience, or one-on-one guidance. You can join at whatever level fits your family right now.

All programming is delivered virtually, making it accessible to families throughout Greater Rochester and beyond. Every member, at any level of participation, is invited to casual in-person social meetups in Rochester, a low-key opportunity to connect with fellow parents outside of the screen.

At the heart of the Parent Collective is an ongoing membership community — the Parent Resource Hub. The Hub is a private, always-available space where parents can access a growing library of research-backed resources, connect with other caregivers in an online forum, and join monthly live virtual workshops on topics relevant to raising kids ages 2–12.

This community space is included with every level of participation in the Parent Collective — so no matter how you engage, you always have somewhere to come back to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to commit to a specific program to get started?

Not at all. You can join the Parent Resource Hub on a month-to-month basis and explore from there. If you're interested in a more structured experience, Parent Circles, Direct Guidance Sessions, and The Research-Backed Parent are all available at different levels of commitment.

Do I need to be located in Rochester?

No — all programming is delivered virtually, so families anywhere are welcome. That said, if you're in the Greater Rochester area, you're also invited to optional in-person social meetups.

Who are these services for?

The Parent Collective is designed for caregivers of children ages 2–12 who are looking for research-backed support and community.

What is inside the Parent Resource Hub?

The Hub includes a private online community forum, a resource library with handouts, tip sheets, and book recommendations, and monthly live virtual workshops on topics like toddler tantrums, spotting anxiety in kids, the bedtime routine audit, and more.

Who will I be matched with for a Parent Circle?

Matching is intentional — groups of 3–4 families are paired based on your child's age and the concern you're hoping to address. You won't be placed in a group that feels irrelevant to where you are right now.

How are meeting times decided for the Parent Circle?

Because Parent Circles are small groups, scheduling is collaborative. Once your group is matched, everyone will complete a short poll to find a time that works for all families before the session is confirmed.

Whats the difference between Parent Circles and Direct Guidance Sessions?

Direct Guidance Sessions are one-on-one consultations focused on a specific concern your family is navigating. Parent Circles are small group sessions. Both include one month of Parent Resource Hub access.

Can I book more than one direct guidance session?

Yes — sessions can be scheduled individually or as a bundle of up to four at a discounted rate.

Will Dr. Martin tell me if therapy might be helpful?

Yes. Part of the Direct Guidance Session is helping you determine whether therapy may be a good next step for your child or family.

When does enrollment open for the Research-Backed Parent course?
